80 Million Strong for Young American Jobs
The 80 Million Strong for Young American Jobs Summit, held on June 17, 2009, convened a group of 100 Millennial leaders in Washington, D.C. to discuss the
unique challenges and opportunities facing the Millennial Generation during the toughest economic period in our country’s history since the Great Depression.
Held on Capitol Hill, young adults from around the country debated and discussed the economic, social and educational needs of young Americans and collaborated to propose innovative campaigns, legislative and grassroots solutions that could be used to address them.
Utilizing the Mobilize.org interactive keypad voting technology that allows for all opinions and voices to be represented in a robust dialogue, all participants prioritized an agenda for the 80 Million Strong Coalition that was proposed to elected officials at a local, state and national level.
