Stefan Hankin is the founder and president of Lincoln Park Strategies.  With over a decade of experience in market research, working with clients at all levels of politics, as well as the non-profit and corporate world, Hankin’s expertise on positioning his clients to succeed across all demographic and ideological groups serves as the hallmark of his work.

Hankin was a lead pollster for Barack Obama’s presidential primary campaign, focusing on the primaries in South Carolina as well as Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee. He also worked with the campaign’s economic advisors on informing the Cap and Trade plan developed for the campaign. His other successes include a long list of campaign victories, including Governor Jon Corzine’s original gubernatorial campaign, Senator Robert Menendez and Congresswoman Stephanie Herseth Sandlin.

In 2006, Hankin worked with the Democratic National Committee and Governor Howard Dean informing the much heralded “50-State Plan”, which turned into the blueprint for the Democratic Party’s success in 2006 and 2008.

From 2005 to 2007, in addition to his work as a research consultant, Hankin also served as the Director of Policy and Outreach for 18to35, a non-partisan think tank focusing on young voter issues.  At 18to35, he worked with foundations, interest groups, and leaders in Congress to focus attention on giving young Americans a voice in government.  In 2007 18to35 merged with Mobilize.org where he now serves as a member of the board.

Over the years, Hankin has built relationships with many clients outside of the political sphere, working on message-driven communication campaigns for a wide range of clients from Fortune 500 companies to trade associations, non-profits, industry groups and colleges and universities.

A native of Boston, Hankin received his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and now resides with his wife  and daughter in Washington, D.C.
