The Lounge is an online community fusing technology and social psychology to meet the social needs of students at Wake Technical Community College and motivate members towards greater success in school. At the center of “The Lounge” is an online newspaper produced entirely by students covering news and issues relevant to the student population. As member contribute, their work is recognized and rewarded by peers, building a greater sense of belonging and community online and on campus.
