YouthBuild
YouthBuild USA is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to unleash the intelligence and positive energy of low-income youth to rebuild their communities and transform their lives. There are 273 local YouthBuild programs across the country that help support young people ages 16-24 attain their high school diploma or GED while gaining job training skills building affordable housing for low-income families. YouthBuild USA has received generous funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Open Society Foundations and New Profit (through the Social Innovation Fund in coordination with the Corporation for National & Community Service) to improve and expand efforts to ensure that more low-income young adults who previously left high school can go on to earn diplomas or GED’s and ultimately complete postsecondary credentials.
