Project Summary:
Many students are unable to utilize the academic help they need to succeed in classes. Due to limited hours offered at the center, busy class schedules and other personal responsibilities, they are unable to access tutoring services offered on campus. Virtual tutoring will offer free online tutoring, specifically for subjects students tend to struggle in (like science and math), that revolves around student schedules, specifically in the evenings/nights and weekends when on- campus tutoring is not available. Using Facebook to schedule tutoring appointments with students, Virtual Tutoring will hold these group tutoring sessions through online video chat on Skype and tutors will receive training through a Skyline Learning Center.
