My name is Susan Lin, and I’m currently a sophomore in high school. Some of my largest passions are: journalism, literature, design, education, and self-image. I’ve always loved literature but took my first step into the world of journalism in the past year by being on the newspaper and yearbook staffs. After a year of hard work and being promoted to the editorial staff, I realized how much I loved journalism, and using it to communicate to others about both interests and current events.

The past years have held so many changes for me, and some of them have been hard to take. But in the process, I have discovered that change is natural and it should not be feared. I would like to reach out to teenagers who are going through difficult times or just trying to find themselves like I am. It is comforting to understand that we are not alone in times where we feel very pressured or sad, because many people feel the same way. Being a teen means that you are growing mentally and physically, and I hope that the words I say when I blog about self-image, abuse, and education can touch somebody out there and, in a way, soothe the growing pains.

As part of the Millennial Generation, I want to say that I see a future full of potential and good for this group. In a way, I believe that being born into the beginning of a technological age provides us with the ability to be the leaders that are movement our future in the right direction. Believe it or not, we have the ability and resources to work towards solving world problems. Through hard work and activism, I believe that the Millennial Generation can change the world.

I am honored to have been a featured blogger on Youth Noise and very excited to continue writing for Mobilize.org. Through my writing I hope to meet many people who share my views and become more involved with the youth around the world, making a difference.
