Project Summary: This project undertakes the college attending parent(s) either in EAP classes or in College level classes that are currently enrolled in Miami Dade College Hialeah Campus. The focus that we are trying to take with our project is an ability in which the parent(s) could attend college while leaving their kids in the daycare center across from the main building of Hialeah Campus. Our group’s proposed solution is to help parents from dropping out and assisting them in finding a better means in which they could leave their kids in the daycare center so they’ll be able to attend class with no problem. Also, since Elementary schools have days off such as, teacher planning days and no school days a lot of parents are stuck with leaving their kids at home causing them to miss class to take care of their children. With this project they could leave their kids at the daycare center and be able to attend class those days the kids don’t have school so they won’t have to worry about the well being of their children. Our project will contain a couple of steps: 1. Speak with the daycare center and come out with an agreement that our group proposes with the Campus approval to help out the parent(s). 2. Create awareness with posters, flyers, PowerPoint’s and presentations ect. 3. Contact the parent(s) who are interested.
